I purchased this Appsumo deal and got it set up in 10 minutes. My initial test interviews look great. I am excited to implement this tool in our hiring process to reduce the time spent on interviews where the candidate looks great on paper, but the live interview tells a different story. We also interview candidates in different time zones, and this tool will help us better manage our schedules for candidates we feel are more suitable for the position.

The note section and ability to share interview videos help move a candidate along our process and obtain team feedback. Much better than simply emailing resumes back and forth between team members.

As a platform, it works very well, is intuitive, and user friendly. I was able to set up my account, create an interview and send it without reading the help section. On the receiving end, the process is straightforward. Candidates are guided through an easy-to-understand process and are quickly able to record their video interview. ‘

I prefer that candidates have to read the question and answer without the ability to pause the recording. This better simulates a candidate’s response in a live interview. I would like the option to make the candidate invitation link usable only once and then expire. Again, this better simulates a live interview where you can’t pause or request a “do-over.”

As a platform, it works very well, is intuitively usable, and no manual is needed. It is also quite basic though, which has both pros and cons.

The admin can put in the questions and share or email a link to the candidate, who will be guided through the process very nicely and clearly.

The page the candidate will land on is brandable in terms of logo, own domain, colours and intro text.

I noticed though that the candidate can only read the question while already being recorded, which I think the candidate will not appreciate (bad candidate experience).

Also, he is able to re-record his answer, but all recordings will be seen by the admin. He (she) will probably not like that either which might lead to an early ending of the process and perhaps of the application procedure.

I personally would prefer an option to introduce myself and the company/job in a video, which gives the feeling we both put in effort and gives the company/contact person a face.
