This is a straight forward tool with a familiar admin interface that will make it intuitive for most to use. As a (current) freebie for the pro plan this will do what you need and that is a great deal. If you are a hard core coder you may just prefer plain text style changelogs but I like to brand everything and that is a cool feature here. You can add your logo/header/footer and customize fonts. Even a custom domain is included. At the team level you can do 10 changelogs and manage team as well as remove the powered by. Otherwise you have a full branding here at either level. There is also the option to add js/css so you could really stylize and get creative here.

For really jacking up the branding/styling, I might suggest templates for styling or maybe some sort of styling options for output e.g. how much padding to use between items. This could be achieved with the custom css but it would be more convenient for most I think, in an editor panel or some sort of template options. Perhaps optional paid templates for some additional mrr for the developer.

And an option to output a plain text (changelog.txt or .md) version for download could be useful for some.

Honestly speaking, Kuickfeed is in its early stage right now. It may not be very feature-rich right now but it does what it says. Froged is helping me track the behavior of users on my site and engage them with Automessages.

Some things I like:

1) Froged is excellent at tracking users, especially logged-in users. Contact records are properly merged and synced with WordPress, which ensures the triggers are reliable.

2) The event-based triggers are simple to implement. Froged has an intuitive interface to help you track specific actions.

3) The support is very helpful. Sometimes setting up certain functionality can be tricky if you’re unfamiliar with Javascript or HTML. Froged has a support team that is usually quick to respond in the chat, which is very assuring.

Some things I don’t like:

1) Tracking custom attributes (custom fields of metadata for each user) is less intuitive. This feature is important to help track the status of users so you can improve your segmentation. However, transferring user data between Froged and other systems requires custom configuration, which means you’ll need to code some Javascript.

2) Conditions for Automessages are currently limited. For example, it’s currently not possible to trigger an email or message based on whether the user has interacted with another message. However, this feature is on the roadmap.

Overall, I think this deal offers great value for anyone looking to engage their users and offer support. Even the branding has been softened enough that it doesn’t detract from the user experience. I’m looking forward to the roadmap features, particularly an integration with Wishlist Member.

I carefully compared options before purchasing Froged, from Continually to Live Agent’s chat widget, to Hey Oliver. I was looking for the most powerful chat widget available to support and track my website’s visitors. I chose Froged over the above-mentioned options for the following reasons:

(1) Froged is much better than Continually because Continually is a mere chat widget; Froged’s chat widget is only the first element of a chain of results and processes that you can attain by using Froged. Froged’s end game seems to be more in the domain of customer onboarding and retention, and not just to communicatE with clients.

(2) Froged is also much better than Live Agent’s chat widget because it is more beautifully designed and also because it combines chat, a knowledge base, and updates all-in-one. Amazing.

(3) Froged is better than Hey Oliver because you can attain deeper segmentation if you leverage the full potential of “tags”. With Froged, you have unlimited tags, while Hey Oliver only gives you a small number of them (if you want more, you need to pay for them – which evidences how powerful tags can be).

With that being said, as every newbie in the market, Froged needs more integrations. I would love to see two integrations in particular. First, with a chatbot, given that Froged is currently a live chat widget only. If we could integrate Froged with, for example, Botstar or even Continually, that would be fantastic. We could leverage Froged even when we’re not in front of our computers! Second, with Live Agent: even though Froged is intended to help customers, Live Agent has a massive customer center architecture that surpasses Froged’s at the moment. Instead of seeing Live Agent exclusively as a competitor, which to some extent it is, the Froged team may want to leverage Live Agent’s essential features to make its own widget even more powerful. If, for example, we could chat with our customers via the Froged widget and then canalize support tickets through Live Agent, that would be amazing.

All in all, I think Froged is a very promising piece of software and I am surprised it does not have more review here. Honestly, this is a real steal! I am trusting Froged in the launch of my upcoming app!
